Serve Lenoir County
Our first responsibility is helping residents find timely, understandable weather information and practical preparedness resources.

WHO WE ARE • WHY WE SERVE
OUR MISSION
CODE 10-13 WX CHASERS exists to help Lenoir County residents stay aware, prepared and connected before, during and after severe weather. We turn official weather information into clear local updates and connect the community with dependable safety and recovery resources.
We are community focused—not engagement focused.Followers, subscriptions and page views can help more people see important updates, but they are not the reason for this work. We do not create fear, exaggerate forecasts or chase storms simply for attention.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Our first responsibility is helping residents find timely, understandable weather information and practical preparedness resources.
We rely on official information from the National Weather Service, National Hurricane Center, local emergency services and other recognized public-safety agencies.
We aim to explain what is known, what remains uncertain and what could change—without exaggerating threats for attention, clicks or engagement.
Weather changes quickly. When information becomes outdated or we make an error, we will work to update or correct it as promptly as practical.
SUPPORT & FUNDING
Access to our public weather information is free. Community supporters, sponsors, advertising and future platform earnings may help cover operating needs such as equipment, software, website services, travel, communications and storm-monitoring expenses.
A paid relationship does not control our weather reporting or change the information issued by official agencies. Businesses and organizations listed as supporters or resources are not endorsements by the National Weather Service or local government.
OUR ROLE
CODE 10-13 WX CHASERS is an independent community weather information platform. We are not the National Weather Service, Lenoir County Emergency Services, law enforcement, fire services or an emergency dispatch agency.
Our posts and website do not replace official warnings, evacuation orders or emergency instructions. During dangerous weather, use multiple reliable sources and follow directions from public-safety officials. Call 911 for life-threatening emergencies.
ACCOUNTABILITY
We welcome respectful questions about our sources, operations, supporters or published information. If you believe an update is inaccurate, please identify the post or page so we can review it.
